Saeed obtained his PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from NC State University under the supervision of Prof. Veronica Augustyn where he studied charge storage mechanisms of ion insertion materials. He joined the Mayer lab as a postdoc in 2025 where he investigates chemical and electrochemical redox reactions at iridium oxide interfaces using operando characterization techniques. In his free time, Saeed enjoys camping, astrophotography, and playing board games.
